In the beginning of March, the Capacity team traveled to the Sonoran Desert for a few fun days at L1 Summit. We enjoyed attending all of the outstanding events and connecting with new and familiar faces.
Here’s some highlights of a few of our favorite sessions and events:
Welcome Reception
We kicked off night one in Phoenix with an awesome welcome reception. It was nice to visit and meet with everyone in person. Check out the amazing Capacity ice sculpture!
Casey Crawford’s Keynote
Super Bowl champion, former Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers Tight End, Founder and CEO of Movement Mortgage, Casey Crawford delivered a motivational keynote that helped set the tone for the conference.
Our team found inspiration in Casey’s session, especially the value he places on community. Huge shoutout to Casey for a contagiously energetic session!
Fire Up the Night
With surprisingly chilly weather, Fire Up the Night was the perfect way to end day one
Our team was able to network and mingle over warm bonfires, leather branding, hot air balloons, and live music.
General Session: Economic Forecast
What’s happening in the economy and housing industry is turning towards being the ‘new normal’. Supply chain issues continue to remain while interest rates are still historically low.
Doug Duncan Senior Vice President and Chief Economist, Fannie Mae, and Joel Kan, Associate Vice President of Economic and Industry Forecasting, Mortgage Bankers Association, discussed the current economic and housing trends, and what to expect next.
Our team enjoyed listening to the educational insight Doug and Joel provided, and learned that there’s many factors at play in the mortgage industry – between supply chain, purchase market, and housing inventory.
Breakout Session: How to use AI, RPA and APIs to Create Efficiencies Within Your Business
Here at Capacity, we’re all about making your life easier through technology. Our own Josh Katz joined Brian Gunn, Candor, and Ash Omar, HOA, to discuss all things automation.
The mortgage industry is constantly changing, and the process for creating a loan is not getting any easier. Josh, Brian, and Ash discuss the importance of finding technology solutions for your business and how to source AI and automation into workflows.
Breakout Session: Entering Into New Channels to Increase Volume
Navigating new channels can be a daunting process. One of Capacity’s customers, Kevin Peranio of PRMG, joined Fowler Williams, CMB, of Crescent Mortgage to talk about the excitement and pressure that comes along with entering into new channels.
Kevin also talked about launching MOBi, and how Capacity continues to help his team succeed by having all the information they need 24/7, including access to guidelines, LOS data, and other company information. He continued to talk about PRMG’s use case with Capacity, and how they have been able to sunset 3 company email inboxes thanks to Capacity.
Pickle-ball Tournament
To end our time in Phoenix, we picked up a few paddles and hit the courts.
Shoutout to the Lenders One team for teaching us how to play and letting us join the fun.
