What’s the difference between big data and knowledge management?

by | Oct 7, 2020

Simply put, big data is the vast wealth of information generated by and for a business every day. By definition, big data includes too much structured and unstructured data to analyze into usable knowledge using traditional methods.

Conversely, knowledge management is the discipline of harnessing big data, crucial information, and tacit knowledge into easily accessible, actionable insight. Going forward, both big data and knowledge management systems will be increasingly critical for businesses to succeed.
