You can improve your knowledge management system by understanding how knowledge flows within your organization. How does your organization naturally acquire, store, and distribute knowledge? If it works as-is, there is no need to make any dramatic changes.
But, check your knowledge flow against your objectives. If you have clearly defined goals, you can determine whether your knowledge flow is efficient enough to meet your goals. If not, where would you make improvements?
