Which processes lend themselves well to automation?

by | Oct 13, 2021

Start with the most consistent and rules-based processes. These activities are constant in nature and do not change over time. Because robots are programmed to obey rules, automation tasks should consist of a set of defined actions performed consistently. Data input and migration and payroll and accounts payable are all examples, as are more basic copy-paste and swivel-chair activities.

There is no need for constant human participation. While robots may be stopped in the middle of a task and notify people if an error occurs, fully automated operations are ideal. This will produce the best outcomes in the shortest time, such as cost savings and enhanced productivity.
